LUMUMBA CUP FINALS

Junior FC emerged winners of the Lumumba Cup finals yesterday after punishing perennial rivals Matata Boys 2-1 in a match played at Makongeni primary school in South Coast's Msambweni district.
Junior FC’s winger Doka Salim scored the opening goal in the first half before Matata’s Abdul Wahabu netted the equalizer minutes later.
The winning goal was scored by striker Mohammed Nalo in the second half.
The tournament which was sponsored by philanthropist Juma Lumumba was also attended by Kwale County Council chairman Mshenga Ruga.
Mshenga advised the local youth to participate in sporting activities as a way of keeping them off from engaging in evil activities in the society.
