EA Coffee Association is 10 years old, Cheers!

T he Eastern Africa Fine Coffees Association hosted delegates
attending to its 7th edition of the annual exhibition fair and
conference to a beach cocktail right on the shores of the Indian Ocean
on evening of February10.

The delegates were from Japan, America, Europe, Burundi, Ethiopia,
Malawi, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and
Kenya.

The chairman of the EAFCA Kenya chapter Etienne Delbar who set the
mood for the party with his rib cracking jokes was the host.

Those who attended included the who is who in the Coffee fraternity
including EAFCA chairman and founder Leslie Omari, International
Coffee Organization Executive Director Dr. Nestor Osorio, EAFCA
Executive director Philip Gitau, Dorman’s Bridget Carrington and David
Barry of Uganda based Vdcafe group.

Mombasa Duo band’s Man Handy and Lady Mary rocked the party with fine
tunes of assorted soft African love ballads.

Wine and beer flowed freely with an accompaniment of nyama choma which
the foreigners enjoyed at the shore courtesy of Whitesands' barbecue chefs.

The peak of the ceremony was the colourful fireworks against the dark
skies above the ocean to celebrate EAFCA’s 10 th anniversary since its
establishment in 2000.
