NEW HOSPITAL

The government has released sh 20 million for the construction of a new district hospital in Kisauni district.
Area MP Hassan Joho said the money will be used to renovate the former Mlaleo health centre to the level of a district hospital.
The health center which was under the Municipal Council was shut down last year after residents complained of its poor hygienic state.
Currently, the new district has no public hospital and residents have to rely on private hospitals or the Coast provincial general hospital in neighbouring Mombasa district.
The MP said construction will commence as soon as the Health ministry approves the plan.
